Alex's Preschool Christmas Video

from http://www.dennisandsarahcook.blogspot.com/

Alex has been working hard at preschool on learning Christmas songs for this program. There were a lot of parents and grandparents there today...

FYI: the kids have been sick basically all of December. We are ready for our Cantata this Sunday night and then to stay at home as much as possible to help them get better.

Heartbeat

We had our first doctor's visit today for baby #3. We got lucky and the doctor searched for the heartbeat. At 10 wks/6days, you kind of have to catch it just right and we did. The heartbeat came in loud and clear in the 170's...

It was a blessing to hear and kind of made it more real to us...just one heartbeat, thank you very much. Though the Dr. did say that even if it were twins, we would still only hear one heartbeat at this time...

We have an ultrasound on New Year's Eve to determine Dennis Jr's exact due date.

No School and Return of Visitors

from www.dennisandsarahcook.blogspot.com

Well, due to ice, Hancock County schools are closed today. A great gift from the school system. Another gift they gave us yesterday was head lice again for Gracie. Not nearly as bad as the first time, but still there...

We checked her Sunday night after bath time...nothing there. Halfway through school yesterday, her teacher found one while sitting beside her. Why can't they just keep the kids home until the lice are gone?

We have our first doctor's appointment for baby #3 tomorrow in Owensboro and a dress rehearsal at church that night. Thursday morning, we go to Alex's preschool for his Christmas program. The kids will be singing at church Sunday morning and our cantata is Sunday night. This will be the busiest week of Christmas for us.

Weekend Update

Here is a youtube link to a brass quartet I got together to play at HBC this morning. Matthew Deweese (from Ohio County) arranged the music and I directed it. They are a good bunch of high schoolers...

We went shopping in E'ville yesterday. I was sick yesterday and all last night. So far today, everything is better. A big choir practice today and then dress rehearsals Wednesday night and Saturday morning in preperation for the cantata 12/21, 6 pm.

For the Thanksgiving holiday, we visited with my mom and dad last Saturday. We had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Lexington. On Thanksgiving, we visited with her dad and grandmother for a brief lunch and then off to her mom's side of the family for dinner.

On Friday, we went shopping with Jeff and Shelly...here are some pics from Evansville
